Based on the Jackson Britain 2.0, a British-voiced powerhouse, blending the best of Vox- and Marshall-inspired circuits into a uniquely versatile amp. With its EF86-driven preamp (Channel 1) and 12AX7 Top Boost channel (Channel 2), the Britain 2.0 delivers everything from rich, chimey cleans to bold, harmonically complex overdrive.

Capture Breakdown

Each channel was meticulously captured at 50 watts, with clean and pushed variations for a total of 20 captures:

• 5 Clean Captures (Per Channel) – Pedal-friendly, dynamic, and harmonically rich.

• 5 Pushed Captures (Per Channel) – A more driven response, perfect for expressive leads and gritty rhythm work.

Speaker & Mics

Captured through a Celestion Alnico Gold, known for its balanced highs, smooth mids, and rich low-end. The mic selection follows my standard approach to ensure maximum versatility:

Tone Overview

• Channel 1 (EF86 Preamp) – Thick, harmonically rich cleans with incredible touch sensitivity. Pushed, it delivers a raw, full-bodied overdrive.

• Channel 2 (12AX7 Top Boost) – Classic British chime with enhanced articulation. Clean tones are glassy and dynamic, while pushed tones have a singing, saturated quality.
